Heirloom Plaster Journal with Kim Beller and me!

At the Cameron Museum of Art Museum School

Do you have an urge to explore texture? In this collaborative workshop with Kim Beller and Melissa Manley, students learn to combine simple bookbinding stitches, while exploring many mixed media and journaling techniques. The unique aspect of this journal is its beautiful, tactile plaster cover. Students learn to apply plaster over a wood substrate as the cover for this heirloom journal, while incorporating texture and design. The book is heirloom quality and very tactile in nature. The beautiful watercolor paper adds dimension and provides an awesome workable surface. This is a wonderful opportunity to create a soulful heirloom and renewed inspiration. Instructors Kim Beller and Melissa Manley provide a supply kit for purchase ($50 materials fee) as well as a plethora of their own supplies to share.
